Welcome to St. Margaret's
St Margaret's is a vibrant and growing village church with a rich heritage.
Many have had the privileged to worship in this place for over 800 years.
Today we continue to bear witness to God's ability to transform lives. We
welcome and make room for new people. We believe we are a friendly place
to belong, a safe place to ask questions, a place where together we learn and
grow in faith.
This is an exciting time for the Church as we have tried to discern afresh
where God might be leading and have agreed our vision for the next few
years. The leadership team and I set a high priority on biblical teaching, which
we think is culturally relevant and will shape our lives. We aim to build and
strengthen many areas of church life, for example young people's work
which
includes building developments, worship, small groups, placing prayer as our
heartbeat.
Visitors initially come to the Church for a wide range of reasons, maybe on the recommendation of a friend or perhaps to a wedding service, a baptism or a
funeral. We are pleased when such visitors return to find the true life of the St
Margaret's amongst the regular worshippers of the congregation.
Do use this site to understand more about who we are and what we do -
better still come and find out for your self by visiting the Church.
May God richly bless you.
Revd. Patrick Bateman.
