The mission, ministry and maintenance of St Margaret's Church is dependent on the
giving of its members. Once we appreciate how much God has given us in practical
and spiritual ways, we are compelled to respond to his generosity through the use of
our time, our talents and our financial resources.
Christian teaching suggests that in all these areas we are expected to give something to God's work according to our means. Every contribution however small or large brings us together in our shared purpose.
So I ask you to make the subject of your giving a matter for prayer. Do be bold and discuss how you might offer your time and your talents. For financial contributions, many Christians give a tithe (10% of gross income) or some other fixed percentage.
